Hang glider pilot training.

The goal of the training is to give you all the tools you need to fly solo.

And ultimately obtain the Swiss hang gliding license, which is mandatory for flying in Switzerland.

The training slope.
To achieve this, you will need to attend several days of slope training where you will practice the takeoff and landing phases on a gentle incline. Flights take place a few meters above the ground, which is more forgiving of beginner mistakes.

Training tandem aircraft.
We will also do several tandem training flights to teach you how to fly a hang glider and perform a landing turn. When you are able to land the tandem glider without correction from the instructor, you will be able to perform your first solo flight.

First solo flight!

For your first big flight, we will choose calm conditions at a flying site with a large landing area. You will be under the supervision of an instructor throughout the flight, and if necessary, we will give you instructions by radio.

For the rest of the training you will practice different exercises that will allow you to be comfortable in the air.

For your first flights and until you acquire your own equipment, you have the option of renting modern equipment from us, designed specifically for training.

Throughout the training, your hang glider will be equipped with wheels that will cushion the landing if you are unable to land on your feet.

To obtain the license you will need to:

  • To pass a theoretical exam.

  • Complete a minimum of 30 long flights at 3 different sites.

  • To pass a practical exam.

The minimum age to obtain a free flight license is 16 years old.
